Sarah Ruhl Appears at B&N for Book Signing, 11/20

Award-winning playwright, Sarah Ruhl, whose play The Clean House recently opened to acclaim at Lincoln Center Theater, will make an appearance at Barnes and Noble (1972 Broadway at 66th St.) on Monday, November 20 at 7 PM.  

Ruhl will read from and sign copies of her new book, The Clean House and Other Plays, the first collection of her work.   Ruhl will be joined by actress Vanessa Aspillaga, who appears in The Clean House.

Sarah Ruhl was recently awarded a MacArthur Fellowship.  She also won the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for The Clean House, which premiered at New Haven's Yale Repertory Theatre before being produced at theaters across the country.  Her other plays include Melancholy Play, Eurydice, Late: A Cowboy Song and Passion Play.   Lincoln Center Theater's production of The Clean House marks this playwright's New York debut.  A production of her play, Eurydice, will open at Second Stage in the late spring.
