SPAMALOT Sets Shubert Box Office Record for 11th Time
MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, Broadway's Tony Awardâ winning Best Musical, once again had its best week ever breaking the house record at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street) for the eleventh time since opening in March.
For the week of October 2 – October 10, SPAMALOT grossed $1,084,100.35. That beat the record that SPAMALOT had set last week $1,071,021.35.
In addition to the 2005 Tony Awardâ for Best Musical, SPAMALOT also received the 2005 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, and the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical. In addition, to the Tony Awardâ for Best Musical, SPAMALOT received the Tony Awardâ for Best Direction of a Musical (Mike Nichols) and Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Sara Ramirez).
The Original Broadway cast recording of MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT is currently available on Decca Broadway. The Millennium Broadway Hotel is the official hotel of SPAMALOT.
