Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and the Board of Directors (Tom Tuft, Chairman) have embarked on a $50 million Anniversary Campaign to ensure the future of the 50- year- old not-for-profit institution. The campaign was announced last night at Roundabout's Spring Gala at the Waldorf Astoria, honoring six-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald and Chairman Tom Tuft.

"The 50th Anniversary Campaign will ensure that all we have built will endure and that we will always be at the forefront, a leader in the field, to entertain, educate, and inspire. It will allow for the continued growth of theatrical programming and artistic risk-taking to better serve the art form, an expanded commitment to the NYC public school students and their teachers, and sustained state-of- the-art theatres," notes Todd Haimes, Roundabout's Artistic Director.

In celebration of the company's landmark 50th anniversary, the Board of Directors launched this $50 million campaign to increase its Board Designated Fund. Similar to a traditional endowment, the fund will provide funds for expanding programming in response to the evolving needs of our community of artists and audiences, while returning interest to support Roundabout's annual work. Of the nearly $32 million already raised, lead gifts include The Kaplen Brothers Fund, Tom and Diane Tuft, Katheryn Patterson and Tom Kempner, The Bok Family Foundation, Roxanne and Scott L. Bok Trustees, and Stephanie and Ron Kramer among many other generous donors.

From its early commitment to an affordable subscription series, to the creation of Broadway's 7pm curtain, to groundbreaking partnerships with the Department of Education, Roundabout is committed to providing world-class theatre and education programs alongside Access programs to engage the broadest possible audience. These critical funds will allow the company to continue meeting the ever- changing needs of next generation audiences, artists and our community.

2 "I'm so proud to be a part of this vital campaign to secure Roundabout's future. Equally important,

my fellow Board of Directors are all committed to ensure that Roundabout has the resources it needs for Todd Haimes and the Roundabout family of artists and staff to produce the work that makes us all so proud, and continue its pioneering work in serving our community through the New York City schools," adds Tom Tuft, Chairman of Roundabout's Board of Directors.
