It's the season for rooftop gatherings where you can partake in the best drinks and delectable bites while taking in incredible views of the city you love. Whether you’re in the mood for lively Midtown terraces or laid-back waterfront spots in Dumbo, these locations offer a range of optons whenever you are out and about.

Golden Child just opened at Hotel Park Ave NYC in NoMad from Renwick Hospitality Group. This new rooftop terrace offers a relaxed, social club atmosphere. The space features an Ivy League–inspired design, with cocktail menu sections including “Core Curriculum,” “Study Break,” “Honors Program,” and “Electives.” The Modern American menu from Executive Chef Carsten Johannsen will offer a playful take on nostalgic childhood treats with a signature being the Golden Child Lunch Box, packed with a gourmet PB&J made with Pear, Brie and Jamón with mostardo on a buttered baguette, a chocolate chip cookie and a boozy Capri Sun. Starters include seasonal crudité with black garlic tahini and furikake; hamachi with cilantro, jalapeño, yuzu vinaigrette, and tamari aioli; Montauk Pearl oysters with grapefruit and shiso vinaigrette; and “The Only” Golden Osetra Caviar served with potato chips, crème fraîche, chives, and caramelized onion. Golden Child will join Hotel Park Ave’s collection of food and beverage concepts from Renwick Hospitality Group alongside Park Rose and Seed Library.

Voco Roofbar

Perched 33 stories above the city, Voco Roofbar (170 West 48th Street) brings a sleek, all-season rooftop experience to the heart of Times Square, with a polished yet approachable atmosphere. The vibe is elevated and welcoming, with a retractable roof that keeps the views going year-round, whether you’re stopping in for sunset drinks or a late-night scene. The menu centers on Asian fusion small plates designed for sharing, offering a mix of bold, globally inspired flavors that complement the setting, while the cocktail program highlights high-end mixology with seasonal, well-balanced drinks that feel both refined and easy to enjoy in a social, open-air setting. Voco Roofbar will include a high-end mixology program featuring a mix of bright, fruit-forward and herbaceous creations such as the Golden Hour Spritz with vodka, yuzu, elderflower, and prosecco, the Broadway Blush with lychee and rosé vermouth, the Atlas Mule with pomegranate and ginger beer, and the Shiso Skyline with gin, shiso, and peppermint, alongside standouts like the Tokyo Rooftop Punch with sake and peach liqueur, the Empire Dragon margarita with dragonfruit and citrus, and the Sumac Sensei Mezcalita with olive oil–infused mezcal and passion fruit. For non-alcoholic options, mocktails like the Lost Dragon, a slightly spicy blend of tequila alternative, togarashi, lime, ginger, and grapefruit, and the Golden Koi with gin alternative, passion fruit, lemon, and tonic offer a refined zero-proof experience The space blends a hospitality experience with a lively rooftop sensibility, making it a new go-to for both casual nights out and more elevated occasions.


Where Sunset Meets Skyline: Golden Hour Outdoor Rooftop at One40 

One40 Rooftop Restaurant (140 Washington St.) is officially opening its new outdoor rooftop experience, Golden Hour at One40 on April 15th. Founded by Mona Panjwani, the stunning 20 story high space embraces the magic of New York’s golden hour with a lineup of handcrafted spring and summer cocktails, including an elevated lychee martini served with lychee caviar, as well as vibrant, shareable bites. Warm materials, natural textures, lush greenery, and comfortable lounge seating create an inviting setting that transitions seamlessly from daytime drinks to evening gatherings. In addition to the rooftop launch, One40 Rooftop Restaurant has also revealed a refreshed spring menu rooted in a Modern American approach, centered on seasonal ingredients and balanced, contemporary flavors. Both the interior rooftop restaurant and outdoor rooftop are a woman-owned destination in the heart of the Financial District. 

Take in Downtown Views at ART SoHo

Located atop the Arlo hotel in Soho, ART Soho is a year-round rooftop bar offering both indoor and outdoor space with views of the Hudson River and the surrounding downtown skyline. The rooftop features lounge seating, high-top tables, and areas for mingling, making it a popular spot for after-work drinks, weekend gatherings, and DJ sets. Enjoy a bite to eat among the seasonal cocktails alongside wine and local beer. The food menu balances raw bar staples with indulgent shareables and satisfying handhelds, making it ideal for group dining or casual bites. Guests can start with East and West Coast oysters or hamachi crudo, then move into crowd-pleasing small plates like truffle tater tots, smoked mozzarella sticks, guacamole with house-fried chips, al pastor quesadillas and garlic-brined chicken wings. The beverage program leans into vibrant, seasonal energy with cocktails designed for sharing—available by the glass, pitcher or tower—featuring playful, fruit-forward mixes like a strawberry and basil spritz with Campari and elderflower, a tropical mango and pomelo punch with aged rum and coconut, and a refreshing honeydew smash layered with jasmine, mint and lime.

ART Midtown is Perfect for Taking in the City Skyline 

Right on top of the Arlo Midtown hotel, ART Midtown is a rooftop bar offering sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline including Hudson Yards and One World Trade Center. The space provides a lively setting for drinks from golden hour into sunset. Guests can enjoy a menu of cocktails and light bites while taking in the city views. The kitchen serves a mix of shareable snacks, raw bar favorites and hearty handhelds. Guests can start with small plates like marinated olives, candied nuts and crispy ART Tater Tots with truffle aioli, or go bigger with a giant smoked mozzarella stick served with zesty yogurt, sundried tomato and pesto sauces. The avant garde beverage program ranges from playful cocktails to celebratory bottles of Champagne. Signature drinks include the refreshing Cucumber & Thyme Highball with Hendrick’s gin, cucumber, thyme, black pepper, lime and soda; the Watermelon Spritz with Grey Goose vodka, fresh-pressed watermelon, mint and prosecco topped with cotton candy; the smoky Arlo Margarita with mezcal, habanero and rosemary; and the Fig & Maple Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve bourbon, apple brandy, fig and maple.

Located 25 stories above Midtown near Bryant Park, Elsie Rooftop (1412 Broadway) offers a rooftop lounge experience inspired by the glamour of Old New York. The space hosts a variety of weekly events from live music nights to weekend brunch, alongside cocktails and elevated bar fare in an art-deco-inspired setting. The menu at Elsie Rooftop offers an array of indulgent, yet shareable dishes like Crispy Calamari, Tuna Tartare with citrus ponzu and avocado mousse and Truffle Fries. Wagyu Sliders, Flatbread Pizzas with gourmet toppings and indulgent Lobster Roll are stand-out signatures. The elevated cocktail program features house-crafted drinks that celebrate timeless elegance with a contemporary edge. The Elsie de Wolfe, a sparkling blend of Ketel One Cucumber & Mint, rose water, and Chandon rosé, and the Botanical Delight, with its floral ice and fragrant mix of Ketel Orange Vodka, Ume Liqueur, and Crème Violet, bring a whimsical yet refined twist to classic flavors. For something bolder, the Smoked Old Fashion infused with Earl Grey tea or the Den Mule, made with Macallan 12-Year and smoky scotch, offer rich, layered profiles.
 

Indulge with Breathtaking Cocktails With Views of the Empire State Building at BarChef
 

BarChef New York is a cocktail bar in Midtown South with rooftop views of the Empire State Building. Founded in Toronto by Netflix’s Drink Masters judge Frankie Solarik, the bar focuses on a multi-sensory cocktail program that combines modern culinary techniques with theatrical presentation. Alongside inventive cocktails, the menu includes Japanese-influenced small plates and larger dishes. The rooftop serves as an extension of the bar’s creative cocktail program, bringing a laid-back atmosphere to evenings above the streets of Manhattan.

Haven Rooftop Offers Handcrafted Drinks in Midtown

Located atop the Sanctuary Hotel in the Theater District near Times Square, Haven Rooftop is a rooftop restaurant and bar offering views of Midtown Manhattan. The space features a seasonal setting, with a French Riviera-inspired atmosphere. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails alongside a menu of contemporary American dishes.

 

Dine on Omakase and Sake at Sushi Lab Rooftop
 

Located on the rooftop of the Sanctuary Hotel in Midtown, Sushi Lab Rooftop (132 W. 47th St), offers a sky-high omakase experience showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients.  Guests can enjoy creative sushi offerings, Japanese fare, sake flights and handcrafted cocktails year-round from this garden inspired, zen oasis.

Fornino at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 offers panoramic rooftop views of the Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor. The waterfront location is known for Chef Michael Ayoub’s standout wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, Italian small plates, and city views that makes it an ideal sunset setting and family friendly too. Fornino’s menu traces the evolution of pizza through its unique “three generations” categorization. The First Generation options pay homage to true Neapolitan roots with choices such as the Margherita Classica.
