Photo Coverage: Outer Critics Circle Awards

The Outer Critics Circle Awards, previously announced on May 14th, were presented to recipients on May 25th at Sardi's.

Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza), Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Shuler Hensley (Tarzan), Harry Groener, Martin Moran, Steve Kazee and Lauren Kennedy (all of Spamalot), Robert Cuccioli (Jacques Brel is Alive and Well...), Phyllis Newman, Glenn Loney and Marjorie Gunner presented the Outer Critics Circle Awards to the winners.

The History Boys was judged Oustanding Broadway Play, and Jersey Boys won Outstanding Broadway Musical. Outstanding Off-Broadway Play went to Stuff Happens, and Grey Gardens was selected as Outsanding Off-Broadway Musical. Outstanding Revival of a Play and Outstanding Revival of a Musical were awarded to Awake and Sing! and Sweeney Todd, respectively. Among winners in performance categories were Jersey Boys' John Lloyd Young, Grey Gardens' Christine Ebersole, The History Boys' Richard Griffiths and The Threepenny Opera's Jim Dale.

This season is the 56th anniversary of the Outer Critics Circle, an association with members affiliated with more than ninety newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, and theatre publications in America and abroad.
