"Jule Styne in Hollywood," a concert celebrating the release of a new PS Classics Inc. CD, took place at Birdland on May 22nd.Hosted by Jim Caruso, the evening--celebrating the Hollywood output of the legendary composer of Gypsy and Funny Girl--featured performances by Maria Friedman, Klea Blackhurst, Jeff Harnar, Johnny Rodgers, the Lascivious Biddies and more. The CD "Jule Styne in Hollywood," with a cast of Broadway, jazz and cabaret talent that includes Audra McDonald, Sutton Foster, Victoria Clark, Kelli O'Hara, Leslie Uggams, Brent Barrett, Norm Lewis, Jason Danieley and Marin Mazzie, was released by PS Classics Inc., the non-profit division of PS Classics, on May 23rd.
