On February 15th, former "Fame Academy" student James Fox joined co-stars (such as Sahra Skogland and Laura Costa) to launch the West End production of Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp's
Movin' Out.
"Set in Long Island, the king and queen of prom, Brenda and Eddie, are
finished, while forever sweethearts James and Judy are ready for
marriage. War splits the friends apart, but finally they reunite to
discover they have all found their way back home," according to
Whatsonstage.com press notes for the dance musical, which features its skilled cast of dancers performing Tharp's choreography to Joel's music.
Movin' Out will play London's Apollo Victoria for a limited run from March 28th through July 17th before setting out on a tour of Continental Europe;
Wicked will succeed it at the theatre.
Fox rose to fame on the British reality show "Fame Academy," which searches for and educates talented musicians. He has since become a popular singer and appeared as Judas in a UK touring production of
Jesus Christ Superstar. He previously appeared in the Broadway production of
Movin' Out as "The Piano Player," as well as on tour.
