On Monday December 6 at 10 AM, the Shubert Theatre box office (225 West 44th Street) will open for MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT.

Ticket buyers can brave the cold with a free snack of Hormel's new golden honey grail flavor, created to celebrate SPAMALOT's imminent arrival on Broadway. The first one hundred ticket buyers will receive:

· a free can of the rare, extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime can of SPAM™
· a free poster signed by Python alum and the show's writer, Eric Idle.

The Shubert Theatre has been transformed into a castle to welcome the incoming show and Shubert Alley will be home to some unusual denizens that day:

· The official SPAM™-mobile and mascot Spammie will dole out the treats
· a killer rabbit will be available for petting (if you dare)
· knights and wenches will test ticket buyers' knowledge of Monty Python Trivia. Winners could receive an official pair of Monty Python's Spamalot Coconuts.

"SPAM® is the holy grail of canned meats," says Eric Idle, Python alum and the show's lyricist and book writer. "We're thrilled to dine on SPAM™ golden honey grail at the round table of SPAMALOT."

Monty Python's SPAMALOT is directed by the legendary Mike Nichols and stars David Hyde Pierce, Tim Curry and Hank Azaria. The show begins previews at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th St.) on February 14, 2005, and opens on March 17. SPAMALOT will arrive on Broadway following a five-week World Premiere engagement at Chicago's Shubert Theatre (December 21, 2004 - January 23, 2005). SPAMALOT will only play at theatres called Shubert. If someone tries to convince you you're seeing SPAMALOT, and you find you're not at a theatre called Shubert, you're in the wrong place.
