LOST IN THOUGHT, A New Play About OCD, Premieres At The Edinburgh Fringe

EDINBURGH FRINGE: Underbelly Cowgate, Thurs 2nd - Sunday 26th August

LONDON PREVIEWS: 21st July, 9:30pm @ Hen & Chickens Theatre Bar | 29th July, 8pm @ Bread & Roses Theatre.

Chatback Theatre & Comedy presents the world premiere of Lost in Thought, a new play by Lucy Danser, at this year's Edinburgh Fringe directed by King's Head Theatre Junior Associate Helena Jackson.

Felicity's on a fantastic date...oh, except she's stuck in the restaurant toilet, trapped by nothing but her own alarming thoughts. If living in her brain is this difficult how is she ever going to have a normal adult life?

A two-hander for actresses, Lost in Thought focuses on 21 year old Felicity and her single mother Marie. At a natural age to be starting to live an independent life the once bright and ambitious Felicity is a school drop-out, living at home and struggling to separate unwanted intrusive thoughts from helpful, 'normal' ones. Both utterly dependent on her terrified mother and feeling suffocated by her attention it's only a matter of time before everything comes to a head. Drawn both from extensive research and Danser's first-hand experience of living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Lost in Thought is a thought-provoking and empathetic exploration of a condition more often used as a flippant punchline than truly understand as a life-altering neurological disorder.

A play about OCD, wasted ambition and motherly love.

TICKETS (Edinburgh): £6.50 previews / £11 (£10)
