Jersey Boys' Michael Longoria Performs September 18th Concert

Michael Longoria, who will appear in the cast of the upcoming Four Seasons tribute musical Jersey Boys, will first stop at 59E59 Street Theatres (59 E. 59th St., between Madison and Park Avenues) on September 18th at 8 PM to perform a concert.

Presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the concert will feature a mixture of a good mixture of songs from the debut album and new tunes that you haven't heard yet," according to Longoria. The album, Under 1000 Shades of Blue, is a collection of Longoria's songs performed by the rising singer-songwriter. According to CDBaby.com, on which the album is available, Under 1000 Shades of Blue features "melodies reminiscent of Stevie Wonder and India Irie to the backing of his folky-pop guitar sound...Writing of personal stories, his songs tell intimate tales of life through complex lyrics and catchy melodies.

Longoria recently appeared on Broadway as a swing in Hairspray. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, he has been a musician as well as an actor since 2003. He has performed in European tours of A Chorus Line (as Paul) and West Side Story (as Baby John). Jersey Boys will begin previews at the Virginia Theatre on October 4th for an official November 6th opening.
