The Board of Directors of Lincoln Center Theater has announced that J. Tomlinson Hill has been elected Chairman. Mr. Hill, who previously served as LCT Board President, succeeded John Beinecke who served as the Chairman from July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2010.

J. Tomilson Hill is President and Chief Executive Officer of Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, a Vice Chairman of The Blackstone Group and a member of the Board of Directors. He also serves as a member of Blackstone's Management and Executive Committees. Mr. Hill joined Blackstone in 1993 after a career in investment banking, which began with The First Boston Corporation, and culminated in his running investment and merchant banking at Lehman Brothers, where he served as Co-CEO.

He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations where he chairs the Investment Committee and serves on the Council's Board of Directors. In addition, he serves on the Investment Committee of the Smithsonian Institution and is Chairman of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. Tom graduated from Harvard College in 1970 and Harvard Business School in 1973.
