City Theatre and Island City Stage are proud to present Shorts Gone Wild 6 from August 2 - 26, 2018 at Island City Stage in Wilton Manors. This all-new production marks the sixth season of South Florida's hottest LGBT+ themed short play festival.

SHORTS GONE WILD is co-presented by City Theatre and Island City Stage under the direction of City Theatre Artistic Director Margaret M. Ledford and Island City Stage Artistic Director Andy Rogow. Shorts Gone Wild takes seven short plays, six fabulous playwrights, four talented directors, six versatile actors, and a team of skillful designers, and whips it all up into a provocative, funny, surprising, and thoroughly entertaining theatrical production. Shorts Gone Wild features brand spanking new ten-minute plays by local and national playwrights, featuring scripts that span the rainbow - hilarious comedy, poignant romance and sharply political. Relatable, relevant, appealing and amusing, to the LGBT+ and Progressive communities, Shorts Gone Wild sells out every season.

  • Triple Theatre by Michael Leeds
  • Crass Menagerie by Rich Orloff
  • Defenders of the Tender Gender Bender by Rich Orloff,
  • When You Put It Like That It Just Sounds Ridiculous by R. Eric Thomas

Tickets are $35, and are now on sale to the general public.

Preview performances of Shorts Gone Wild 6 will be held Thursday, August 2 and Friday, August 3 at Island City Stage, 2304 N. Dixie Hwy. in Wilton Manners. The official Opening Night ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 4 at 8 p.m. Evening performances will be held Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m., with afternoon matinees on Sunday at 5 p.m. through August 26.
