Children's Musical The Game Boy Runs March 10-April 22

Vital Children's Theatre will present The Game Boy, an original musical for children with book and lyrics by Robin Rothstein, and music and lyrics by Matthe Gandolfo.  The production is directed by Mary Catherine Burke.  Performances run Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, March 10th through April 22nd, 2007. 

Workshops and additional performances include a "Stage Combat" workshop following the 1:00 pm shows on Saturday, March 10th and Monday, April 2nd.  "Learn the secrets behind all the stage-fights you've see on the video screens," state press materials. There will be 1:00 pm performances followed by a "Create Your Own Video Game" workshop on Wednesday, April 4th, and Friday April 6th. 

"Chase loves playing games and always being the best, but when he gets too wrapped up in his new, exciting action adventure computer game to spend time with his friends, he learns the hard way that computers are no replacement for people and winning isn't everything."

Featured in the cast are Julia Arazi, Kally Duling, Lance Marshall, Andy McKissick, Kristina Wilson and Tim Woods.  The design team includes sets by Jesse Poleshuck, lighting by Kevin Hardy and costumes by Annaluisa Franco.   The Choreographer is Vibecke Dahle.  The Musical Director is Matthew Gandolfo and the Stage Manager is Tzipora Kaplan.
