The opening night of the 2nd Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival at Town Hall on Friday, October 20th at 8 PM will feature sixteen standout performers. Jerome Kern's musical legacy will be honored that evening with a concert performed with a gaudy line-up of award-winning stars including Three-time Grammy winner Lari White, Tony winner Cady Huffman, Tony nominees Michel Bell, Stephen Bogardus, Drama Desk nominees Nancy Anderson, Leslie Kritzer, Julia Murney, Theatre World Award winners Deven May and Michael Winther, Nightlife Award winners Carolyn Montgomery and Julie Reyburn, and Broadway stars Ron Bohmer, Joyce Chittick, Sean Martin Hingston, Jack Noseworthy, and Noah Racey.

Scott Siegel, the creator of the Broadway Cabaret Festival, will be writing and hosting the concert for The Town Hall. Speaking about the event, Siegel said, "Every performer I hired for this concert is a veteran of Broadway by the Year. I handpicked them because I intend it to be the best damned Jerome Kern concert anybody has ever seen. And, frankly, it's more than a concert; it's a show! It will feature the twice Tony nominated Michel Bell singing "Ol Man River" off-mike. He received one of those Tony nominations for playing Joe in the revival of Show Boat on Broadway. I'm thrilled that we're going to have several dance numbers on the Town Hall stage that night, as well, thanks to Noah Racey (Never Gonna Dance), Joyce Chittick (The Pajama Game) and Sean Martin Hingston (Contact). And oh what voices we've got: Julie Murney in her first New York performance since returning from the national tour of Wicked as Elphaba. And what a treat for our audience to see three-time Grammy winner Lari White on the Town Hall stage again after her triumphant performance in The Broadway Musicals of 1978 where she stopped the show three times (White will also be performing at Carnegie Hall on November 1st in a tribute to Marilyn & Alan Bergman). Everyone in this extraordinary cast is at the top of their game."

Last year, when the Broadway Cabaret Festival was launched, it received unaminous praise from the critics, including a rave from Stephen Holden in the NY Times. Having done it once, the 2nd Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival looks like an even stronger entry this year. In addition to the gaudy cast of sixteen stars in the Kern tribute, the second night of the Festival (Saturday, October 21 at 8 PM) will feature Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner, the two Tony-nominated stars of Side Show in an All-Broadway concert for the first time in a great many years. The excitement surrounding this reunion concert has made it one of the hottest tickets of the Fall season.

The third and final performance of the weekend on Sunday, October 22nd at 3 PM will feature more than 50 years of Broadway history. It's Broadway Originals! Hear (and see) more than twenty stars who originated the songs you love on Broadway. Just a few of the stars who will be performing that afternoon are Joanna Gleason and Chip Zien from Into the Woods, Debbie Gravitte from Jerome Robbins Broadway, Liz Callaway, Catherine Cox and Beth Fowler from Baby, Cheyenne Jackson from All Shook Up, Christiane Noll from Jekyll & Hyde, and Nancy Dussault from Do Re Mi! It's Broadway history come to life!

There are limited tickets still available for all three concerts at $50 & $45. The Town Hall Box Office is open from noon to 6 PM every day except Sunday. Call TicketMaster at 212-307-4100 or purchase online at TicketMaster.com
