Broadway At The Pierre Celebrates HAMILTON

The Pierre New York, A Taj Hotel's acclaimed cabaret series, Broadway At The Pierre, continues this month with a celebration of HAMILTON: An American Musical. On Monday November 5th, the iconic five-star hotel will welcome Hamilton alums Sasha Hutchings and Hope Easterbrook for a special one night only performance.

A member of Hamilton's original Broadway cast, Ms. Hutchings appeared in the ensemble and served as original understudy for the roles of Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds. Ms. Easterbrook made her Broadway debut in Hamilton as the first replacement to the original cast. Winner of 11 Tony Awards and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Hamilton continues to be one of Broadway's biggest hits.

Presented by Taittinger Champagne with additional support from Broadway Sings For Pride, Broadway At The Pierre showcases musical theater's brightest stars. Now in its second season, the monthly program offers a unique opportunity to enjoy songs and stories from some of the most beloved musicals of all time. The hotel's Two E lounge has featured cast members from shows including The Phantom of The Opera, WICKED, Kinky Boots, BEAUTIFUL: The Carole King Musical, Carousel, Cinderella and MOTOWN: The Musical. On Sunday December 16th, The Phantom of The Opera returns for a special holiday performance.

Broadway At The Pierre begins at 8:30pm. Doors open one hour prior to performance. An original cast member of Hamilton, Sasha Hutchings is currently making her Lincoln Center Theater debut in My Fair Lady. Additional theatre credits include the original Broadway casts of Rocky and MOTOWN: The Musical, Memphis, and the off-Broadway revival of Sweet Charity starring Sutton Foster. Her television appearances include Jessica Jones (Marvel), Master of None (Netflix), Blue Bloods (CBS), and The Dangerous Book for Boys (Amazon). Sasha is also honored to be a member of the Arthur Miller Foundation Master Artist Council, as well as a teaching artist with New York City public school theatre programs, Syracuse University, Epic Theatre Ensemble and Broadway Bound Kids.

Hope Easterbrook made her Broadway debut in Hamilton as the first replacement to the original cast. She has studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern. Her training began at The School at Steps in the Pre-Professional Program. After dancing at Steps in high school, she was accepted to the Musical Theater and Dance program at Marymount Manhattan College. While studying at Marymount, Hope developed a passion for teaching and decided to pursue a career in teaching and performing Hip Hop. She has worked on a variety of performances and music videos and also performed on the 2016 Tony Awards. Hope appeared in Broadway At The Pierre's special PRIDE benefit performance in partnership with Broadway Sings For Pride this past June.

Broadway Sings For Pride is a non-for-profit charitable organization which brings together Broadway talent, activists and celebrities to promote LGBT equality through song, public education and raising awareness of the needs of LGBTQ youth.
