BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was thrilled to sit down and speak with nearly all of this year's Tony Award nominees at the official Tony Brunch on May 2, 2012, and we will be bringing you special coverage on all of them throughout the awards season.  Today we bring you Michael Cerveris, nominee for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Evita.  

Michael Cerveris has starred on Broadway in The Who's Tommy, Titanic: The Musical, Assassins, Sweeney Todd, Cymbeline, and Assasins. He has been nominated for Tony Award four times. His first nomination was for his Broadway debut in 1993, for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for The Who's Tommy. Cerveris was nominated again in 2006 for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for Sweeney Todd. He won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his role as John Wilkes Booth in the revival of the Stephen Sondheim/ John Weidman musical Assassins. He was nominated for the 2007 Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical Tony Award for his performance as composer Kurt Weill in LoveMusik. He has appeared off-Broadway in The Apple Tree, King Lear, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and the upcoming Road Show at The Public Theater. In addition to "Fringe" Cerveris has appeared on the television shows "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", "Quantum Leap" and the TV movie "The American Embassy"

The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
