Review: NACHTWACHT - DE POORT DER ZIELEN at Kinepolis Utrecht: now in cinemas in Belgium and The Netherlands!

Nachtwacht De Poort Der Zielen is the first film made for the big screen after a succesful television series in The Netherlands and Belgium.

Nachtwacht is about a supernatural trio (Vladimir, Wilko and Keelin) who all have magical powers and their magical tutor Vega. They live in a small village Schemermeer, which doubles as a portal with the underworld, where monsters appear in human form.

In the film the evil Nemmeza (Hilde de Baerdemaeker) tries to free herself and other demons from the underworld by opening De Poort der Zielen. The trio, together with the help of Gideon (a role of Juvat Westendorp) and their mentor Vega, who has left the book for once, try to fight against the evil Nemmeza, but will they succeed?

The premiere event in Kinepolis Utrecht was an absolute party for the young fans. Red carpet where their hero's entered the cinema, lots of popcorn and soda.

Before the film started, the main cast (Louis Thyssen as Vladimir, Giovanni Kemper as Wilko and Celine Verbeeck as Keelin together with guest star Juvat Westendorp as Gideon) were interviewed. There were also lots of questions from the audience, which they took plenty time for to answer. The cast was really sweet for their fans, allowing them to take selfies etc. On top of this, they also performed two really catchy songs live, featured in the film.

The film itself is well-made, nice plot with hints of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, which you also can enjoy even if your not familiar with the tv series. Extra special is that actor Peter Thyssen, father of Louis, is also starring in this film as Roman.

This film is now in cinemas in Belgium & The Netherlands.
