With the opening of Be More Chill a mere day away, we're taking a look back at the career of writer/composer Joe Iconis. Take a scroll through selections from his work below!

Iconis has penned the musicals Be More Chill, Broadway Bounty Hunter, Bloodsong of Love, The Black Suits, ReWrite, and The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks, as well as the theatrical concert Things to Ruin. His songs were featured on Season 2 of NBC's "Smash," and his upcoming musicals include The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical for La Jolla Playhouse and Love In Hate Nation.

Joe's in progress musical The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical is about the life and suicide of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson. The musical takes a look at the creation of Gonzo Journalism and the pursuit of the American Dream. Get a preview from Krista Rodriguez as she sings 'Adore':
