Hoff-Barthelson Music School hosts a special Children's Corner Concert, Breath in Motion - Wind Instruments Come to Life!, on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 6:30 pm, at the School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale. The concert, an introduction to the woodwind family of musical instruments for children, will feature members of the School's superb woodwind faculty performing everything from Bach to Jazz while demonstrating the full range of woodwind instruments.

Designed to be educational, engaging and fun for children and their families, Breath in Motion will spark the imagination of the whole family through an exploration of the instruments and a sampling of each instrument's repertoire. Suitable for ages 5 and up, the concert is free of charge. Stay afterwards for light refreshments and an instrumental "petting zoo" where children are invited to see the instruments up close and ask questions.

Audience participation is encouraged! Bring your recorders and join in the fun of playing simple folk songs along with the performers.

Faculty performers include Elly Ball, Donna Elaine, and Joseph Piscitelli, recorders and flutes; Dorothy Duncan, clarinet; Elizabeth Condon, oboe; Janet Grice, bassoon; and Ed Palermo, clarinet and saxophone.
