Andrew Lippa Heads to Rudetsky's Chatterbox Tonight, 3/11

Andrew Lippa, the composer/lyricist for the upcoming Addams Family, will be the featured guests on Seth's Broadway Chatterbox this evening, Thursday, March 11 at 6pm. Seth's Broadway Chatterbox is a one hour weekly talk show at Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street), hosted by Seth Rudetsky. The show is taped in front of a live audience and airs on BroadwayWorld.com Radio Mondays at 7pm, Wednesdays at 10pm and Sundays at noon.

To attend Chatterbox, there is a $10 donation and a two-drink minimum. The donation goes directly to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.

In addition to The Addams Family, Lippa has contributed Broadway's You're a Good Man (additional songs and arrangements) and The Farnsworth Invention (original music).  He wrote the music and co-wrote the book (with Tom Greenwald) for off-Broadway's john & jen, and wrote the book, music and lyrics for The Wild Party, which was given its world premiere in 2000 at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The Wild Party won the Outer Critics Circle Award for best Off-Broadway musical of the season and Lippa won the 2000 Drama Desk Award for best music. The show was nominated for 13 Drama Desk Awards including best new musical. Lippa's A Little Princess premiered in the summer of 2004 at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, California. As a singer, Lippa has performed at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, The Rainbow Room, and The Supper Club. His vocal arrangements and singing can be heard on the songs of Stephen Schwartz in the animated feature, The Prince of Egypt.
