The world premiere production of David Grimm's Measure for Pleasure, which began performances at the Public Theater on February 21st, opened on March 8th.  The stars and creative team then celebrated with an after-party at POP Restaurant.

The play, which is billed as "Restoration comedy meets modern sex farce," features Tony Award-nominees Euan Morton (Taboo) and Michael Stuhlbarg (The Pillowman) as well as Wayne Knight (Sweet Charity, "Seinfeld"), Suzanne Bertish (Salome, The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby), Saxon Palmer (Design for Living, Three Sisters), Susan Blommaert (Phaedra, Reckless) and Emily Swallow (Much Ado About Nothing). The show is directed by Peter DuBois.

Stuhlbarg plays "Will Blunt (who) is in love with Molly (Morton), a young transvestite prostitute. But when Blunt rescues him from a life on the streets, he doesn't count on Molly falling in love with Dashwood, the handsome womanising rake," according to production notes. The play is an exploration of "the elusive nature of happiness; featuring mistaken identities, duels and double-dealings, gay marriage, and the obligatory sex cave."
