Young People's Theatre will present Christopher Duthie's acclaimed one-man show n00b produced by Vertigo Theatre. This timely story about a boy who runs away from home when his parents confiscate his game console will be presented on the Mainstage from tonight, February 11 to 20, 2014.

Obsessed with online gaming, Daniel refuses to respond to his parents' concerns regarding the countless hours he spends in a make-believe world. Daniel becomes increasingly isolated, as his online reality of gunfire, enemies and strategy becomes his community of acceptance and safety. When his parents confiscate his game console, he runs away from home -- into a world riskier than any combat game he has ever played.

Written and performed by Christopher Duthie, n00b ("n00b": an inexperienced and/or unskilled player of video games) cleverly explores digital relationships and how online games, technology and the digital world have given us a new sense of identity. Since its inception in 2008, n00b has transformed into a broader investigation of online culture and the disconnect in communication between two generations.

Directed by Nathan Pronyshyn, Set & Costume Design by Deitra Kalyn, Sound Design by Jeremy Parker, Lighting Design by Patrick Smith.
