usical theatre company Angelwalk Theatre re-launches with Any Dream Will Do: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber which runs Thursday March 30 to Saturday April 1 at 8pm nightly in the brand-new Lyric Theatre at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. Any Dream Will Do: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber is conceived by Adrian Marchuk with musical direction and arrangements by Chris Tsujiuchi. It stars Adrian Marchuk, Samantha Hill, Kelly Holiff and Matt Nethersole.
In Any Dream Will Do, audiences will meet the man behind The Music Of The Night in the Toronto premiere of this magical evening of story and song, brought to life by some of the top musical theatre performers from Stratford, Toronto and Broadway.
Fresh off record-breaking runs at Theatre Collingwood and Barrie's Mady Centre for the Performing Arts, this beautiful concert features such Andrew Lloyd Webber hit songs as Memory, Don't Cry For Me Argentina, Love Changes Everything, Unexpected Song, Tell Me On A Sunday and many more!
As one of Canada's top singing actors, Adrian Marchuk is in high demand across the country. He spent three years playing Frankie Valli in the Toronto and Las Vegas companies of Jersey Boys. Other recent credits include starring in Musical of Musicals (Mirvish), Marry Me A Little (Tarragon Theatre), Dr. Fine in the hit rock musical Next To Normal (Tarragon Theatre), Fabrizio in The Light in the Piazza (Patrick Street Productions, Persephone Theatre), and Gilbert Blythe in Anne & Gilbert (Ontario Tour). Adrian is also the creator of three successful concert shows:The Sweetest Sounds: A Century Of Song From Rodgers To Guettel, Any Dream Will Do and Over The Rainbow: The Harold Arlen Story, which will premiere in the summer of 2017. In addition to his acting work, Adrian is on the faculty at Sheridan College for the Performing Arts, Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and St. Clair College.
A graduate of Sheridan College's Musical Theatre Performance program, Chris Tsujiuchi's Musical Direction credits include Any Dream Will Do (Theatre Collingwood), 35MM (Toronto premiere), A Misfortune (Next Stage Festival),HAIR (FirstACT Productions), One Song Glory '10 '11 & '12 (Acting Up Stage), A Joyful Noise (co-composer/lyricist, Smile Theatre) and Mickey & Judy (Toronto Fringe). Chris has worked as an accompanist and teacher at Sheridan College, Randolph Academy and George Brown College. He has toured extensively with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale as a singer, with cabaret superstar SharRon Matthews as an accompanist and can be seen in his bi-annual "Chris-terical" cabarets at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.
Currently living in New York City, Samantha Hill's Broadway credits include: Cosette in the most recent revival ofLes Miserables (reprising her role from the Toronto production) and Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera.Hill also starred in the independent film The Editor, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Kelly Holiff is a popular theatre and cabaret performer. Selected theatre credits include Taking The A Train(Soulpepper), Uncovered (Acting Upstage), Ms. Stacy in Anne Of Green Gables (Charlottetown) and The Sound of Music (Theatre Aquarius). Kelly most recently finished her second holiday tour with Colm Wilkinson as his special guest.
Matt Nethersole's selected credits include: Ritchie in A Chorus Line (Stratford Festival), The Hypochondriac(Stratford), Sweet Charity (Shaw Festival), Pygmalion (Shaw), Ain't Misbehavin' (Magnus Theatre), Legally Blonde(Drayton Entertainment), Hairspray (Rainbow Stage), Elf (The Grand Theatre) and James in James and the Giant Peach (Young People's Theatre).
Since Angelwalk Theatre's last production in 2014 at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, the building has undergone significant changes, most notably the renovation of the old mainspace theatre (home of Jersey Boys, Ragtime, Show Boat, etc.) into two beautiful new theatres - the 296-seat Greenwin Theatre and the 574-seat Lyric Theatre.
Angelwalk looks forward to providing a home for musical theatre audiences in the heart of the community of North York in all four of the performance spaces (Studio Theatre, Greenwin Theatre, Lyric Theatre, George Weston Recital Hall) at the Toronto Centre for the Arts in the future. Its next show after this one is Everybody's Got A Story: A Celebration of Canadian Women in Music which runs June 15-17, also in the Lyric Theatre, Toronto Centre for the Arts.
