It all began in 2010 in a small black box theater at Montclair University. Katie McGhee and Whitney Shields were on the cusp of graduating into a world both open and uncertain for artists and theatermakers. One afternoon sitting on the campus they were about to leave, they came to the conclusion that they would create theater in a non-traditional setting. After two years of travel and individual life-experiences, they began brainstorming possible opportunities to pursue theater with a fundamental focus on farming and gardening.
