Based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love. The original 1997 Broadway production of Side Show was directed by Robert Longbottom and received four TonyŽ nominations, including a shared nomination for co-stars Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner, the only time in Tony history where two people were co-nominated for the Best Actress Award.

Cygnet Theatre Season 12 gets off to a rollicking start with the return of audience favorite and off-Broadway hit, Pageant, just in time for summer fun. James Vasquez directs and choreographs this hilarious mash-up of a beauty pageant and a drag musical that let's audience members decide who is crowned the winner. The talented and funny David McBean returns as Miss Deep South and Phil Johnson reprises his role as the wacky master of ceremonies. With Book and Lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and Frank Kelly (The Texas Chainsaw Musical) and Music by Albert Evans, this crowd pleasing romp about beauty contestants runs from July 10 - August 31. After a sold-out benefit run for BC/EFA this February, producers of PAGEANT - THE MUSICAL have announced the show will return in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street) beginning Sunday, June 29, 2014, with an official opening on Monday, July 14, 2014. The cast of tiara-crazed beauties includes Nick Cearley ('The Skivvies'), Frankie J. Grande (Mamma Mia), Alex Ringler (West Side Story), Marty Thomas (Xanadu), Seth Tucker (Our Kiki), and Curtis Wiley (Motown), with additional casting to be announced soon. (more...)

NYC Couple Has Spectacular Broadway Wedding

Saturday June 7th was a spectacular day for Houston residents Brian Hampton and Keith Huckabay. The partners of 13 years, who consider NYC their second home, got married at Cop Cot in Central Park surrounded by family and friends.
