Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival , one of New York's premier summer performance series, kicks off its 51st season on July 25. Among the highlights in the first two weeks are a special opening concert led by Louis Langrée, Renée and Robert Belfer Music Director, featuring traditional and indigenous songs from Mozart's time; a choral presentation by Les Arts Florissants; and guest conductors Edward Gardner and Gianandrea Noseda; festival debuts by more than 10 artists, including Kit Armstrong, Janai Brugger, Jennifer Johnson Cano, S? Percussion, Beatrice Rana, Ksenija Sidorova, and the Young People's Chorus of New York City; and the New York premiere of David Lang's concerto for percussion, man made. Harlem Rep's THE WIZARD OF OZ to Close 8/20

'The Wizard of Oz,' presented by Harlem Repertory Theater and Yip Harburg Foundation, will now close August 20, 2017 after 26 performances.  A previously scheduled September 9 performance has been canceled. ???????The picturesque Crested Butte Music Festival (CBMF) in the mountains of Colorado offers an unspoiled summer destination for bluegrass, opera, classical music, children's programs, and more. CBMF's 21st Season, entitled "Identity Unmasked," will explore identity and its revelation or masking. The fourth week of programming features the annual Opera Studio production, this year, Offenbach's The Island of Tulipatan and Puccini's Gianni Schicchi. With over 500 singers applying for just 12 spots, the Festival has become a coveted destination for young vocalists. The powerful Voxare String Quartet, featuring new CBMF co-Artistic Directors Emily Ondracek-Peterson and Erik Christian Peterson, perform an evening of live string music to the 1929 Soviet-era silent masterpiece, The Man with a Movie Camera, and bring music from their Mixtape to the mountains. Time for Three, the genre-busting string trio, offers a free concert open to the public in the turn-of-the-century Spiegeltent, one of just a few of such venues in the United States. BWW Review: A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at THEATRE THREE

Opening night at Theatre Three's A LITTLE Night Music got off to a slow start, due to the late arrival of one of the theatre technicians. The show itself followed suit, starting off slow, but finding its stride as the evening continued, and ultimately ending in a heartwarming finale.
