The award-winning VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to announce the extention of FASHION ACADEMY, THE MUSICAL, a new musical with book by Sheryl Berk and Sabrina Chap and music and lyrics by Sabrina Chap, based on the book Fashion Academy by Sheryl Berk and Carrie Berk, authors of the popular chapter book, Peace, Love, and Cupcakes: The Cupcake Club. The production is directed by Sam Viverito and will continue performances at the Theater at Blessed Sacrament, 152 West 71st Street, just east of Broadway, on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30 pm, through February 28th. Due to demand, The New Group has announced a two-week extension for Sam Shepard's Buried Child, the third production in the company's 2015-2016 season.  Originally set to play a limited Off-Broadway engagement through March 13, this production now plays through Sunday, March 27.  Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris, Amy Madigan, Larry Pine, Rich Sommer, Paul Sparks and Nat Wolff.  Previews begin February 2 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Wednesday, February 17 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street). Roundabout Theatre Company, in association with Ryan Murphy, has announced final casting for Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night, starring Academy and Emmy Award winner Jessica Lange as 'Mary Tyrone,' Golden Globe winner and Tony Award nominee Gabriel Byrne as 'James Tyrone,' Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon as 'James Tyrone, Jr.,' and Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr. as 'Edmund Tyrone.' Colby Minifie joins the previously announced cast as 'Cathleen.' Jonathan Kent will direct, as part of Roundabout Theatre Company's 50th anniversary season. (more...)

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company (Jonathan Silverstein - Artistic Director, Mark Armstrong - Keen Teens Producer) will present the Tenth Season of Keen Teens.  This season's offerings will be Thirty Million, a new musical with music and lyrics by Max Vernon; book by Jason Kim, directed by Mark Armstrong, with choreography by Brad Landers and musical direction by Lena Gabrielle; Landlines by Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen, directed by Liz Carlson; and How The Moon Would Talk by Nick Gandiello, directed by Sash Bischoff. Auditions will be February 3rd through 5th.
