With what must be the most elaborate comedy opening of any show at the Fringe this year (think smoke machine, audience participation and a camel) Vikki Stone has the audience hooked from the very beginning.

Seamlessly merging comedy, music and theatre her lyrics are witty and her piano skills are fantastic. Hardly surprising as she is actually a trained musician.

Vikki Stone has the bizarre combination of managing to be incredibly crude, yet extremely charming at the same time. Her ode to scientist Brian Cox is somehow both completely filthy and absolutely delightful.

Hugely entertaining, Stone's show touches on universal truths and television talent shows. She doesn't shy away from the important issues, devoting a section of her show to the art of wearing your dog as a beard.

This hour long show is incredibly fun and fresh and potentially has a finale as spectacular as the opening. Depending on whether or not her dog learns to dance.

Vikki Stone is at the Underbelly until August 25th. Timings and ticket information here.
