Annie Siddons/New Wolsey Theatre/Escalator East to Edinburgh present Raymondo at Edinburgh Fringe 2014.

Raymondo and Sparky have been locked in the cellar underneath their house for six years. An accident involving a pigeon enables their escape. But do the brothers have the requisite skills to survive a haphazard and cruel world?

Raymondo is a story of brotherhood, loss, incarceration, escape, survival, desire, art and resilience. It is a story about the shittiness of others, the kindness of others and Love. Simply told by a woman with a microphone and an atmospheric live score of guitars, loops and keyboard, Raymondo is a raw, dark, funny and tender lyrical narrative that will sear through your defences straight to your heart.

Annie Siddons is a playwright, performer, musician and single parent. She has worked with Kneehigh (Rapunzel), BAC (Danira and the Ravens, The Yellow Lemon Mission), The Unicorn Theatre (The Nutcracker - under commission), Bristol Old Vic, Teater Sagohuset Sweden, Undercurrent, and The Gate. This is her first outing in Edinburgh as performer.

Annie is performing with guitarist and pedal board wizard Daniel Green. The score was composed by producer and multi-instrumentalist Marcus Hamblett (Laura Marling /Willy Mason).

Raymondo is directed by Leverhulme Award Winner Justin Audibert (Unscorched, Wrong 'Un, Gruesome Playground Injuries) and produced by Ruby Glaskin.

Raymondo has been selected for Escalator East To Edinburgh. Each year Escalator East to Edinburgh helps artists and arts organisations to raise their profile and perform to new audiences as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
