Storm Large, best known as a singer for the cult band Pink Martini, will be appearing at the Gallo Center for the Arts with her own trio, Le Bonheur, at 7:30 pm tonight, October 8.

Tickets are $35, $45 and $55, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. The performance includes adult themes and is recommended for mature audiences.

Large spent the 1990s singing in clubs throughout San Francisco, and developed an eclectic style that embraces rock, jazz and metal, often performing 'mash-up' renditions of artists such as ABBA, Black Sabbath, Cheap Trick, Olivia Newton-John, Billy Idol and Led Zeppelin.

She later moved to Portland, Oregon and eventually connected with Pink Martini, which appeared at the Gallo Center in 2013 with the band's alternate singer, China Forbes. Along the way Large gained nationwide prominence as a finalist on the CBS show "Rock Star: Supernova," building a fan base that follows her around the world to this day. Storm continues to share singing duties with Forbes on Pink Martini's national and international tours.
