Imagination Theater will present the Tony Award-winning production of Spamalot with performances tonight, March 27 through April 26, 2015. Spamalot pokes fun at the conventions of musical theater and popular culture as it lovingly "rips off" Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Directed by Peter Wolfe, the show features a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits, a flying cow, a flying enchanter, and a legless knight. Thursday and Friday shows are at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday shows are at 2:00 p.m., except on March 28 at 7:00 p.m. Sunday shows are at 2:00 p.m. (No show on Easter Sunday). Tickets are $12-15. Due to events at the fairgrounds, parking will be in the upper tiers outside the blue gate on April 4, 11, 25 and 26.

This show is not intended for those with no sense of humor. May cause uncontrollable laughter and guffawing. Show may contain irreverent references, badly performed accents of unfathomable locations, bizarre British humor, incredibly bad wigs and a plethora of cross-dressing. Intended only for immature audiences! But seriously, the show is rated PG-13. Tickets can be purchased 24/7 at www.imaginationtheater.net or through IT's ticket provider, Brown Paper Tickets at 800-838-3006. Tickets are also available through the theater box office at 530-642-0404. Imagination Theater, located on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, brings quality, live, local community theater to Placerville and El Dorado County.
