The B Street Theatre, Sacramento's Resident Professional, New Works Theatre, has announced its next offering in the Family Series, the world premiere of Finding Our Voice: Susan B. & the Women's Suffrage Movement By: David Pierini.

The B Street Theatre explores the dramatic history of the women's suffrage movement in David Pierini's new, original play. Pierini depicts suffragists' crusade for the 19th Amendment from the perspective of one young woman torn between freedom and family. Along the way, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Woodrow Wilson and others inspire her to pursue her dreams as they work to bring equal voting rights to America's women.

B Street audiences have enjoyed David Pierini's work for over two decades. He has appeared on stage in countless roles, written for and directed 20 B Street School Tour Shows, and written such memorable titles for the Family Series as Pinocchio, A Christmas Carol, Tom Sawyer, and The Princess and the Pauper. Finding Our Voice will be his seventh play to have its world premiere in the Family Series to date.

Finding Our Voice: Susan B. & the Women's Suffrage Movement is the third show of B Street's 2012-2013 Family Series. Recommended for children age 8+.

Featuring Ed Claudio, Rick Kleber, and others, the show includes work by lighting designer Ron Madonia and stage manager Tracy Prybyla.
