City Springs Theatre Conservatory's high school cast brings full-scale polish to 'Guys and Dolls' at Byers Theatre, led by standout Jake James.
Based on the life and times of singer-songwriter, Neil Diamond, A Beautiful Noise is a good bit more than the typical jukebox musical. The framing device of the story is that current day Neil Diamond, played expertly by Robert Westenberg, is reluctantly visiting a therapist (Lisa Renee Pitts) to work through some issues. Westenberg’s Diamond is gruff, surly and weary. He seems miles away from the smiling, glittery star of yesteryear.
Usher and Chris Brown brought The R&B Tour to U.S. Bank Stadium on Tuesday night, and if there was one thing the show didn't lack, it was entertainment. For nearly three hours, the two artists traded sets, teamed up for several songs, and kept the energy high from beginning to end.
Out With a Bang Playwright Tony Pasqualini started writing it when he turned the dreaded 70 while feeling lucky to keep working in a profession he loves, married for forty years to the same loving woman, with two adult kids that live nearby.
“Live, live, live!” That is the story of Auntie Mame. Everyone is so preoccupied with doing the right thing these days, setting themselves up for success and grinding until there is nothing left, that they forget to make the most of the time we have!
El Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Mérida ha presentado en Lisboa la programación de su 72.ª edición, que se celebrará del 3 de julio al 30 de agosto de 2026 y que volverá a incluir una producción portuguesa dentro de su cartel.
THE AMERICAN FIVE Intersects Black, Queer, and Jewish histories to showcase the collective work required to bring about societal change. It reminds of those who came before us and what they did in the name of Freedom and rights. Jakobs says that 'ultra right-wing America has tried to take over the term 'American' and I say no!' To those who ask, who is the next Martin Luther King, Jakobs replies, you are. They feel that the things we do in this country impact everyone in this country and ask: 'Why are you not saying anything?'

JUICY RIOT A high-femme variety riot that closed Pride Fest with heart, voice and full-throttle joy as a closing night, it could not have been better chosen

There is a distinct, visceral magic that happens when a story leaps across oceans and lands perfectly in our own vernacular.
What did our critic think of MEAN GIRLS at Stage West At The Lights?
Beautifully staged with striking costumes, inventive direction and magnificent music, this production is a feast for both the eyes and ears. Superb performances throughout, especially Samantha Peo's moving 'Send in the Clowns' and Kate Normington's impeccable comic timing, make it an unforgettable evening of theatre.
After an Edinburgh Fringe sell-out, Kanpur:1857 came to the Tron in association with Glasgow Mela. Strapped to a cannon, an Indian rebel (Niall Moorjani) finds themselves answering to a British officer (Jonathan Oldfield) for the crimes of Kanpur - an Indian uprising against British colonial forces. Based on historical events, this sharp new play uses comedy to interrogate colonial violence, gender politics, and the challenges of creating art during times of crisis.
In 2026, Pilobolus' 'rebellious dance' isn't merely countercultural subversion. It's a vital reimagination of what dance—and watching dance—is and can become.
Though for many residents and folks from away, summer in Maine signifies a chance to revel in gorgeous scenery - beaches, lakes, trails – summer is also time to enjoy two of Maine’s premiere regional companies, Maine State Music Theatre and Ogunquit Playhouse.(see Dan Marois’ review below) This year the lineups at both companies are stellar, but my critic’s pick for 2026 are two productions at Maine State Music Theatre in Brunswick: the musical 1776 (now playing through July 11) and COME FROM AWAY scheduled for August 5-22 at the Pickard Theater on the campus of Bowdoin College.
At roughly six minutes, the Memorium is an excellent introduction to the “tintinnabula” (bell) minimalist style created by the composer. A simple melodic line combines with a separate line of triads. Music majors have written theses describing the style in excruciating detail, but the effect Pärt achieves is a bell-like simplicity that can evoke rapt spiritual introspection.
It's no secret that I'm obsessed with this balet ensemble. Whatever they do, I would watch it day and night - but if you came even once to see them on stage, you'd know my obsession is entirely justified and, frankly, inevitable. This show only deepens that feeling. Hurrey!
Iceboy! is an absolute riot. It’s a truly original and genuinely laugh-out-loud new musical comedy featuring Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman.
