Young Women’s Choral Projects of San Francisco (YWCP) will kick-off its 10th anniversary season with two holiday performances in December. Led by Founding Director Susan McMane, YWCP will present its annual Carols by Candlelight, as part of the Old First Concert Series on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 4 p.m. PST. The candle-lit concert will feature the premier ensemble Young Women’s Chorus, performing Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols with harpist Chloe Tula, as well as music by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Javier Busto, Christine Donkin, Randall Thompson and many contemporary settings of traditional carols. This popular annual concert has become a holiday tradition for many San Franciscans.
CONUNDRUM Will Be Performed at the Young Vic in 2022

The Young Vic will present Conundrum, the debut production from Crying in the Wilderness Productions as a Young Vic Associate Company. This evocative new drama, written and directed by Paul Anthony Morris, dives headlong into a powerful exploration of one man's trajectory of embracing then owning self-acceptance. Conundrum opens in January 2022, having been delayed due to the pandemic.

My senior year of high school, my final literature class book report was on Mary Shelley’s gothic novel, Frankenstein. Since then, I’ve read that book probably three or four times. For some reason, I always come back to the rather dark tale that inspired later projects such as the Mel Brooks comedy movie, Young Frankenstein. That movie would go on to inspire its musical version, which we find to be Vintage Theatre’s latest production.

Art Lab and ShowTown Productions just announced that Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young – former “American Idol” contestants who are married in real life – will co-star in a new virtual production of the 2013 Broadway musical comedy, First Date. The production, directed by Meg Fofonoff, will stream for five performances from July 23-25 on the ticketing platform, Stellar.

Following the news that Gina Beck is pregnant, Chichester Festival Theatre has announced that in the forthcoming production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, she will rehearse and open the role of Nellie Forbush as planned with performances from 5 July and a press night on 13 July. From 5 August, Alex Young will share the role of Nellie and take over full-time from 23 August for the remainder of the run.
