Musical theatre songwriting team Braverman and Hassler present an evening of original cabaret songs and selections from their musicals Queen of the West and The White Rose, performed by a cast that features Briana Carlson-Goodman (Les Miserables), Betsy Morgan (Found, A Little Night Music), Catherine Ricafort (Cinderella, Honeymoon In Vegas), Will Roland (The Black Suits, LoserSongs), Celeste Rose, and Noah Zachary (Clown Bar). 'It's About Time' marks Braverman and Hassler's long-awaited New York cabaret debut. Each show will receive a 5-hour block of rehearsal time at the Factory. 'Wasted Tunes' is an original blast of theatrical rock'n'roll by composer/lyricist Mark Sonnenblick. Audiences can expect an evening of intoxicated anthems, hammered hymns, stoned showtunes, and blitzed ballads, none of which are from any comprehensible piece of theater and most of which will be performed in public for the first time. Brennan Caldwell (NBC's "The Sing-Off"), Kasie Gasparini (Mama Mia Las Vegas), Will Roland (The Black Suits), Emily Wexler, and Sonnenblick himself will star in the revue, which will be directed by Don't Tell Mama's Associate Director of Programming, Max Friedman. The September Play Project, or #SPP, launches its inaugural year with a series of new works on the rooftop space of The Delancey, 168 Delancey Street, New York, NY 10002 on September 13th and 14, 2014. Both performances will be at 5 PM. The plays are all 6 minutes in length and set outdoors. The series was conceived by co­producers Jenny Gomez and Jessica Mazo. The aim of the Project is to provide a diverse set of artists with a comfortable platform where they can create, with full production support. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will be split evenly between all the playwrights, actors, and directors that have volunteered their time and talent for the project.
