Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater Artistic Director Molly Smith and Executive Producer Edgar Dobie announced accomplished leader and artist Teresa Sapien as the institution’s new Associate Artistic Director. Sapien joined the company in 2019 and most recently served as casting director/line producer.

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) celebrates 30 years with one of the city's most talented actors, Liz Mikel. She made her debut on the DTC mainstage in 1991, appearing in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Since then, Mikel has been featured in multiple DTC productions and currently features in Cake Ladies at the Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre as Tweedy-Bird, a character written specifically for her.

The cast is set for the outdoor premiere of Seize The King, which will begin previews uptown at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater on July 6th ahead of a July 9th official opening. Broadway's Carson Elrod and AUDELCO nominee RJ Foster will join Ro Boddie, Andrea Patterson, & Alisha Espinosa in the company.

Part of Studio Theatre’s first digital season and more specifically featuring a trio of eclectic solo performances, Flow might be called a mixed metaphor. It blends the old West African tradition of griot — an oral tradition combining a historian, storyteller, praise singer, poet, and musician — with seven storytellers of an urban community presumably in the States.
