Theater Wit Artistic Director Jeremy Wechsler announced today a two-week extension of its smash hit Bad Jews, now running through June 21 at the company's home in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Immediately after, Wit will transfer Bad Jews to the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie's 318-seat space for a summer remount, June 26-July 19. (more...)

In response to popular demand, Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, extends the world premiere of 10 out of 12 by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns) to July 5. The production, which opens on June 10, reunites the playwright with the Obie Award-winning director Les Waters, Artistic Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In 10 out of 12, a company of theatre artists is engaged in the very peculiar-and uniquely impossible-task of making a new play. Based on notes Washburn took during her past technical rehearsals, this Soho Rep. commission is a wry and absorbing look at how work forms us and deforms us. (more...)

The Flea Theater has announced the New York premiere of The Theatre @ Boston Court's production of HAPPY DAYS by Samuel Beckett, directed by Andrei Belgrader. After critically acclaimed runs in Boston and LA, The Flea welcomes theater veterans Brooke Adams and Tony Award nominee Tony Shalhoub to Tribeca.  Previews begin June 20 with opening night slated for June 29. Sideshow Theatre Company is pleased to announce its full 2015/16 Season, beginning this fall with the world premiere of Hansol Jung's surreal and mischievous new comedy NO MORE SAD THINGS, directed by Elly Green. Next winter, the season continues with another world premiere, David Jacobi's chilling new drama MAI DANG LAO directed by artistic associate Marti Lyons. The season concludes next spring with CAUGHT, a new, head-spinning collaboration with playwright Christopher Chen, Chicago's Xiong Art Gallery and director Seth Bockley. All three productions will be presented at Chicago's Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave., where Sideshow continues its multi-year residency.
