This September, Pitlochry Festival Theatre's new Studio is set to host the stage premiere of The Maggie Wall, a new monologue by Scottish playwright Martin McCormick, which is inspired by a mysterious monument built in Dunning in Perthshire to commemorate the death of a woman who was tried and executed in the 17th century for witchcraft.

Bringing the supernatural to South London this autumn, Lazarus Theatre Company are transforming this classic tale into a multi-sensory theatrical experience. The cast is led by Jamie O'Neill (Salomé, Southwark Playhouse; Macbeth, Greenwich Theatre) as John Faustus, and playing opposite him is David Angland (My Life as A Cowboy, Park Theatre; Lord of the Flies, Greenwich Theatre) as the devil Mephistopheles.

Niecy Nash (“Reno 9-1-1,” “Claws”) is set to guest star as Simone Clark in two embedded pilot episodes of the ABC police drama “The Rookie” from eOne and ABC Signature. Her episodes set the stage for a potential untitled spinoff next season allowing the franchise to expand beyond the Los Angeles Police Department.

Disney Legend Tim Allen will executive-produce “The Santa Clause” (working title), a Disney+ Original limited series in which he reprises the beloved role of Scott Calvin from Walt Disney Pictures’ blockbuster franchise. ward-winning Jack Burditt ('30 Rock,' 'Modern Family,' 'Frasier,' 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt') is the executive producer.

Het theaterbezoek is onderdeel van het educatieprogramma dat Stage Entertainment in samenwerking met het Jeugdeducatiefonds en ABN AMRO Foundation heeft ontwikkeld rond het thema van de musical 'alles wat je wenst'.

De repetities voor de musical Disney's ALADDIN van Stage Entertainment zijn van start gegaan. De komende weken repeteren de cast en creatives onder leiding van het creatieve team van Disney Theatrical Productions om de Broadway musical vol humor, kleurrijke kostuums en special effects voor het publiek te brengen. Vandaag is bekend geworden dat Jonathan Vroege (The Lion King) Aladdin gaat spelen. 'Toen ik in 2017 de show op Broadway zag, riep ik meteen dat ik voor de rol van Aladdin zou gaan, mocht hij ooit naar Nederland komen. In februari 2020 kreeg ik het blije nieuws dat ik deze rol mag gaan spelen. Helaas brak daarna het coronavirus uit en werd de productie een jaar uitgesteld. Maar nu mogen we bijna weer, een 'dream come true'. Ik kan niet wachten om met deze fantastische cast en het creatieve team van Disney aan de slag te gaan met deze magische productie.”, aldus Vroege.
