Show Two in Bridge Street Theatre's 2023 SoloFest delivers both Broadway razzle-dazzle AND off-off-Broadway intimacy. “MOTHER (and me)”, written and performed by Melinda Buckley, arrives at BST, located at 44 West Bridge Street in Catskill, for three performances only – Friday and Saturday March 17 and 18 at 7:30pm and Sunday March 19 at 2:00pm.

Boston Playwrights' Theatre announces the in-person return of its annual celebration of new short plays. Boston Theater Marathon XXIV will feature 50 ten-minute plays written by New England playwrights and presented by New England theatre companies. The event will take place in BPT's home theatre on Boston University's West Campus.

 Fault Line Theatre will continue the 2022 Season of Irons in the  Fire, the organization’s reading series of new plays in development, with God Save the Queer by Zackary Grady, directed by Portia Krieger and featuring Michael Urie (George), Mallory Portnoy (Charlotte), Keshav Moodliar (Tariq), Seth Clayton (Louis), and Mary McCann (Kate).

It has been announced that two-time Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry will take over the role of Dr. Pomatter in Waitress on Broadway, and current cast member Tyrone Davis, Jr. will take over the role of Ogie on Monday, November 29.

Five early career, young playwrights have been selected as Echo Theater Company “National Young Playwrights in Residence” for 2021-22. The unique NYPR program uses digital platforms to connect young playwrights across the U.S. with professional mentors.

These theatre companies will implement policies designed to protect the health and safety of everyone by requiring proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test for all artists, staff members, and audiences who attend live, indoor performances at their institutions. Masks will be required inside the theatres as well.
