The Drama League will present “Stage to Screen,” the latest in its acclaimed Essentials Workshop Series for stage directors and other creative professionals. Stage to Screen will take place over the course of two days, Saturday and Sunday, November 12-13, 2022, from 10:00am-2:00pm, at The Drama League Theater Center.

On Friday, May 20, 2022, one hour before the Drama League Awards, Board President Bonnie Comley, Kirk Iwanowski, Mary Jain, and the Board Hosted a VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards right next to the Ziegfeld Ballroom. While the Drama League Distinguished Performance nominees were lining up for the dais, a cocktail party was in full swing in the adjacent ballroom.

The Drama League Appoints Bevin Ross New Executive Director

The Drama League has named Bevin Ross its new Executive Director, joining Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks as Co-CEO of the 103-year-old theatre organization. The new appointment will expand the portfolio and reach of The Drama League as the first step in its new strategic plan, while allowing Mr. Stelian-Shanks, who formerly performed both roles for five seasons, to focus exclusively on the company's expanding artistic programs for early, mid, and late career stage directors.

The Drama League presents DirectorFest 2019: The 35th Annual Directors Festival, the only festival in the United States exploring the art of contemporary stage directing, now in its 35th year. The festival will include six fully-staged productions, a showcase evening of a new musical, discussion forums, and conversations with notable American directors.
