Deadline reports that actress Sophia Bush has joined the cast of 'Good Sam,' a new medical drama on CBS. She will play the titular role.

Deadline reports that Sophia Bush will play a recurring role on Disney+'s upcoming 'Love, Simon' TV series. The show is inspired by the film, which was based on a novel by Becky Albertali.

CBS announced today actress and comedian Arielle Vandenberg will host LOVE ISLAND this summer. She will preside over the matchmaking when the U.S. version of the international reality sensation debuts with a special 90-minute premiere, Tuesday, July 9 (8:00-9:30 PM, ETPT) on the CBS Television Network. New one-hour episodes continue every weeknight through Wednesday, August 7 (8:00-9:00 PM, ETPT).

Deadline reports that Ilana Glazer has set her first project post-Broad City: a horror film she co-wrote called False Positive, in which she stars in along with Justin Theroux and Pierce Brosnan. John Lee co-wrote and will direct the project at A24.

The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) announced winners of its 23rd Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards in 11 categories of film, television, commercials, music videos and animation features, during a black-tie dinner gala at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown on Saturday night, February 2, 2019.  The Favourite (Fiona Crombie), Black Panther (Hannah Beachler), Crazy Rich Asians (Nelson Coates), Isle of Dogs (Adam Stockhausen, Paul Harrod) won Best Production Design for Feature Film. Television winners included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Bill Groom), The Handmaid's Tale (Mark White, Elisabeth Williams), The Alienist (Mara LePere-Schloop), Glow (Todd Fjelsted), and Sesame Street (David Gallo) respectively. Additional winners include Apple: Welcome Home(Christopher Glass) and The Oscars: 90th Academy Awards (Derek McLane).

The 23rd Annual Art Directors Guild  (ADG, IATSE, Local 800) Awards will livestream the Red Carpet from their new location at the InterContinental Hotel Los Angeles Downtown on Saturday, February 2nd beginning at 5:15 pm PT/8:15 pm ET. Hosted by Emmy®-winning Production Designer James Pearse Connelly (The Voice, The Masked Singer) and actor/comedienne Dierdre Friel (Second Act), the “ADG Livestream from the Red Carpet” is co-produced by SDSU School of Theatre, Television and Film, and IngleDodd Media.  

This week, the National Board of Review celebrated their 2018 honorees, with top awards including Green Book as Best Film of the Year, Bradley Cooper as Best Director of the Year for A Star is Born, Viggo Mortensen as Best Actor of the Year for his performance in Green Book, and Lady Gaga as Best Actress of the Year for her performance in A Star is Born. In the Auditorium Theatre's 129th year of existence, we honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the 13th annual Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah; asked "What's This?" on Halloween with a special screening and the Midwest premiere of Disney in Concert's The Nightmare Before Christmas; and sang along to timeless classics like "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" and "Grease" with Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. We reveled alongside the dancers from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; celebrated Ballet Nacional de Cuba's return to Chicago following a 15-year absence; highlighted top local dance companies, including Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Giordano Dance Chicago; and got transported to Mexico with the colorful music and dance of Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez. We also hosted the 14th  year of our Hearts to Art summer camp, a performing arts camp for young people who have experienced the death of a parent; welcomed over 5,000 students to our Student Matinees; and brought thousands of people from across the city to the theatre through our ADMIT ONE program.
