For the second week in a row, Rock and Roll and Country Music Hall of Famer Brenda Lee's iconic holiday hit “Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree” tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Last week the song made history 65 years after its debut and became Lee's third Hot 100 No. 1, and her first since 1960.

The annual National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Holiday Pops always puts its attendees in the holiday spirit with both orchestral and vocal delights. This year’s edition featured Broadway star Norm Lewis with special guests and the mighty NSO under the direction of the always wonderful Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke.

Toby’s Dinner And Show in Columbia, MD, presents Meredith Wilson’s Miracle On 34th Street, the Musical through January 7th, 2024, and it’s a fun holiday outing that gives the feel of New York City in December. Dress up for the occasion if you wish, and step into a traditional holiday favorite, live and in full color. 

Tacoma Little Theatre brings the family classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™ to life on the stage for the first time. This production will be directed by Nick Fitzgerald, with musical direction by Debra Leach, and choreography by Melanie Gladstone. Check out the photos here!

The Queen’s Cartoonists execute jazz with exquisite polish, verve, cheeky humor, and manic energy, recalling the early days of hot jazz in the 1920s and 30s. Holiday Hurrah shines bright and merry with the most vivacious, high-energy of holiday tunes.

It collates fan favorites previously only available on Soundcloud: Warmest Winter Ever (2014) and Warmest Winter Ever II (2016). Last month, eight brand new tracks—“Bad Bad Bad,” “Bring That Shit To Santa,” “Christmas List,” “Magic,” “Miracle,” “Mrs. Claus,” “Sleigh,” and “Unwrapped”—were unveiled alongside the album's announcement.

A new holiday audio play, The Elves and the Cello Maker, written and performed by New York-based cellist Zlatomir Fung, debuts on WQXR’s Artist Propulsion Lab podcast stream on December 21.

Miracle on 34th Street is an American Christmas comedic/drama from 1947 that was produced by 20th century Fox. Based on the story by by Valentine Davies, the film was directed by George Seaton and features Maureen O’Hara, John Payne, Natalie Wood, and Edmund Gwenn. Winning three Academy Awards, Miracle on 34th Street takes place between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and the events that transpire when a Department store Santa Claus claims to be the real Santa.

It’s the most wonderful time of year at Feinstein’s in Carmel with holiday themed programs and tributes to classical Christmas performers. Broadway legend Franc D'Ambrosio will be performing his favorite holiday songs in CHRISTMAS IN CARMEL on December 6 and 7.
