The American Theatre Critics Association has announced that entries are open for the second annual Edward Medina Prize for Excellence in Cultural Criticism. The application deadline is Friday, August 11, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, now in its 10th year, once again brought together an extraordinary group of young artists for a free professional intensive culminating in their own production of The 24 Hour Plays — available for streaming through Saturday, July 31.

This socially distant installation experience is inspired by DEFINITION, an upcoming musical that takes a surrealist look at an African American woman's inner awakenings. Created by director and musician Whitney White, this multi-media event will take the audience through a guided journey with pre-recorded text and music.
