BWW Interviews: Shunya Series - Directors Talk JUNGLE BOOK
by Katricia Lang - Jul 30, 2014

Shunya Theatre's so nice, I interviewed them twice. Or rather, I interviewed them once and liked talking to the cast and crew so much that I decided to cut the interview into a four part series. Spoiler alert: It's really real. If you doubt their realness, take a look at Director Sunny Sinha's finger gun. He's not playing with y'all. Co-director (and Shunya Artistic Director) Sara Kumar's finger gun could use some work. So, it is entirely possible that she is playing with y'all. But I wouldn't risk it. (more...)

BWW Reviews: Adventure Theatre's THE JUNGLE BOOK is a Delight for Kids and Adults
by Audrey Liebross - Apr 08, 2014

THE JUNGLE BOOK, as adapted by Tracey Power and directed by Shirley Serotsky, is neither a live-action version of the Disney cartoon nor of Kipling's dark stories. The set is a visual delight, as are the brilliantly designed costumes and props. The dancing -- especially by the monkeys, the serpent, and the buffalo -- is as memorable as the decorative artistry.
