The highly anticipated Broadway revival of Funny Girl is beginning performances tonight, March 26, at the August Wilson Theatre, ahead of an official opening on April 24. Meet the cast bringing this iconic show back to the stage!

The Springer's 2022-23 Season Announcement was held on March 10 in Emily Woodruf Hall at the Springer Opera House. Besides unveiling the shows that will be produced in the upcoming year, the event is a way to thank Springer season ticket holders and donors for their support and has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for area theatre-goers.

Two weeks before starting rehearsals for its big spring musical, the Springer Opera House has decided to postpone the opening of its Tony Award-winning production of The Color Purple until June.

Battery Dance celebrates the 40th Anniversary of its free summer festival from August 12-20, 2021, in partnership with Battery Park City Authority. The Springer Opera House held a virtual season announcement on Monday, May 3, to unveil the upcoming shows for the 2021-22 season. The Springer has commissioned rising American playwright, Natalia Temesgen, to write two shows that illuminate the lives of black American heroes in the upcoming season.

The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) will honor cinematographer John Simmons, ASC, with the ASC Cinematography Mentor Award and journalist Debra Kaufman with the Technicolor William A.
