Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon, is thrilled to announce its 85th season performing June 16 through October 18, 2020. Nestled along Door County, Wisconsin's scenic shore, the award-winning acting company of Peninsula Players has been enthralling generations of audiences in its 600-plus seat, all-weather pavilion since 1935, presenting hundreds of pre-Broadway tryouts, world premières, classic dramas, comedies and musicals.

The Centenary Stage Company continues their tradition of nurturing young artists and presents the Young Performers Workshop Winter Festival of Shows. The 2019/2020 winter productions include: Anything Goes, George M, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Cruise over to the White Theatre for their wonderful production of ANYTHING GOES now playing through November 17. ANYTHING GOES opened on Saturday, November 2 to kick off the 15th season of the theater located at the Jewish Community Center. Tim Bair directs this whimsical musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The original book was by P. G. Wodehouse and Guy Bolton and was heavily revised by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. The new book is by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman.

Metropolis presents Cole Porter's classic musical Anything Goes through November 2, 2019. A high-seas romp showcasing one of Cole Porter's most magical scores. Music, dance, and romance are set to the age old tale of boy meets girl in this breezy classic.

The first hints of autumn weather have barely touched Chicago, but with its season opener, Lifeline Theatre turns to that coziest of genres: the classic British murder mystery. Jess Hutchinson directs a revival of WHOSE BODY?, adapted by Frances Limoncelli from the 1923 novel by Dorothy Sayers. Though the English author and scholar is not exactly a household name for modern American audiences, Sayers counted C.S. Lewis among her friends and was one of the first women to graduate from Oxford University. WHOSE BODY? marks the debut of her best-known character, Lord Peter Wimsey, a quirky aristocrat with impeccable taste in antique books, classical music, and fine winea?'as well as a penchant for amateur sleuthing.

Jeeves first appears in a series of English novels by P.G. Wodehouse. Jeeves, valet to Bertie Wooster, a rich young man, is truly the brains of the operation, assisting Bertie in disentangling himself from various predicaments. Jeeves appears in a multitude of manifestations from the 1990 television series Jeeves and Wooster starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie to films, radio shows, musicals, comics, and, perhaps most popular in the States, plays written by Margaret Raether. Jeeves Takes a Bow is the third in Raether's Jeeves series and comes to life on stage at Oyster Mill Playhouse now through September 1.

Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier theatre company, opens its 2019-20 season with the Beaumont 1987 version of the hilarious maritime musical, Anything Goes. The recipient of three Tony Awards and three Drama Desk Awards, Anything Goes will perform at Hillbarn Theatre (1285 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City) August 29-September 15, 2019.

The melodies of George and Ira Gershwin fill the Mainstage of Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre. Nice Work If You Can Get It is presented July 19-August 4 at CCBC Essex, Robert and Eleanor Romadka College Center, in the F. Scott Black Theatre. Peninsula Players Theatre presented a reading of The Gentleman Thief, a new romantic comedy-caper by award-winning playwright Mark Brown, on Monday, April 1 at Bj rklunden. Based on a story by P.G. Wodehouse, the creator of such comic characters as Bertie Wooster and his manservant, Jeeves, The Gentleman Thief romantic comedy-caper entertained the capacity crowd and broke attendance records.

Wodehouse. Hartford Stage announced today the cast and creative team for Jeeves & Wooster in "Perfect Nonsense." The Olivier Award-winning comedy from brothers David and Robert Goodale will perform at Hartford Stage Thursday, March 21, through Saturday, April 20. Original director Sean Foley returns to stage the show, which is making its North American premiere at Hartford Stage. Three Broadway actors - Chandler Williams, Arnie Burton, and Eddie Korbich - star in the three-hander.
