Everyman Theatre Founder and Artistic Director Vincent M. Lancisi announced today that Everyman Theatre is set to showcase a distinctive musical interlude with a nod to our beloved Charm City, as Baltimore, It's Me streams into homes beginning Monday, April 12 until Sunday night, April 25. Tickets are $20 per household.

After delivering on the promise of rehearsing, filming, and streaming the first two production of the season, Queens Girl: Black in the Green Mountains and Cry It Out, the staff and artists at Everyman look ahead to four additional filmed and streamed mainstage productions, a spring fundraiser, and a summer play reading series. Everyman Theatre Founding Artistic Director, Vincent M. Lancisi announced today, the schedule today for the 30th Anniversary, 2020/2021 season at the Baltimore-based regional theatre. The landmark season will offer patrons full flexibility to participate at their own comfort level with both in-person, at-home, and combination options available throughout the year.

As BroadwayWorld sadly reported yesterday, stage star Phyllis Newman passed away yesterday, September 15, at the age of 86. Newman got her start in show business at 4 years old imitating Carmen Miranda in theatres and clubs. Her portrayal of Martha Vail in the Jule Styne/Comden and Green musical Subways Are For Sleeping - costumed only in a bath towel - earned her a Tony Award. Her other Broadway credits include Bells Are Ringing, The Apple Tree, On the Town, The Prisoner of Second Avenue, Awake and Sing, Wish You Were Here, First Impressions, and her one-woman musical The Madwoman of Central Park West, which she co-authored with Arthur Laurents. She garnered a Tony Award nomination for her highly-acclaimed performance in Neil Simon's Broadway Bound.
