CAP UCLA Announces Theater and Music Events in November at The Nimoy

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) announces a range of theater and musical performances at The Nimoy in November including Syrian-American rapper and spoken-word artist Omar Offendum's genre-bridging work The Little Syria Show, Grammy Award-winning Venezuelan songstress Nella and Broken Branches, a collaboration between renowned Lebanese-American tenor Karim Sulayman and Scottish guitarist Sean Shibe.

More than half a century after the Public Theater opened its doors with Hair, Gail Merrifield Papp will speak for the first time about her vivid and fascinating behind-the scenes memoir, Public/Private: My Life with Joe Papp at The Public Theater. The event will be held on Monday, September 18 at 6pm at Joe’s Pub – the Public Theater venue named for Joseph Papp.

Joe's Pub @ Astor, the live performance series presented in collaboration between Joe's Pub at the Public Theater and The Village Alliance, returns to Astor Place on Sunday, July 23 from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. This kicks off the first of two events this summer, and will feature artists YahZarah and Greg Banks. The series is free and open to the public, outdoors on Astor Plaza.
