Veteran Boston actor Bobbie Steinbach will receive the Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence at the 40th annual Elliot Norton Awards, presented by the Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) on May 8 at the Huntington Theatre.

New Repertory Theatre (New Rep) will perform  Listen to Sipu, a play about Watertown's Indigenous History, on May 11, 2023, at the Watertown Middle School auditorium from 6:30 - 8:00 P.M.

Two couples from very different worlds experience the pleasures and challenges of commitment. But when disagreements and deceptions begin to unravel their relationships, they must decide how to achieve happiness. This new play is by Anna Ziegler, author of Six Points Theater hits Actually and Photograph 51.

'A PARTY at the CROSSROADS: A Post-Modernist's Cabaret' is a work of adult-oriented storytelling theater with original soul, blues and jazz music; written and performed by Mwalim (with a little help from his friends) directed by The ZYG 808. The show will be running at the Cotuit Center for the Arts Black Box theater, April 7 - 23.

New Repertory Theatre will present an exclusive, dramatic reading from Big Girl, with special permission from author Mecca Jamilah Sullivan, as part of the Watertown Free Public Library’s monthlong celebration of this outstanding new work as part of One Book, One Watertown 2023.

Detroit Repertory Theatre's 66th Anniversary Season will continue with the another Michigan Professional Premiere, Transfers written by award winning playwright Lucy Thurber.

My Cousin Nelu Is Not Gay was created by Diana Lobontiu (Brooklyn College MFA Playwright, Jane Hoppen Resident 2023) and premiered in 2022 as part of Ars Nova's ANT Fest. With a generous grant from The Puffin Foundation, My Cousin Nelu Is Not Gay returns to The Brick Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn March 9th-12th. 

New Repertory Theatre has received two grants from the Mass Cultural Council (MCC), a stage agency: one for $75,000 through its Cultural Sector Fund for Organizations Pandemic Recovery Grant Program, and a $5000 grant Universal Participation (UPI) Innovation Grant.

Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) continues its 2022-23 season with Jado Jehad by Fatima A. Maan. Running from February 16-26, the play is directed by Bridget Kathleen O'Leary.
