For his starring role in Netflix's groundbreaking first original series, 'Lilyhammer,' actormusician Steven Van Zandt explored uncharted waters as a New York mobster who flees to Norway under the witness protection program. In addition to acting in, co-writing and co-producing the acclaimed show as well as directing the final episode, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer also scored the music for most of the three seasons, where just like his character, the musician best known as Little Steven of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and an accomplished solo artist who helped pioneer the rock-meets-soul sound, also delved into some terrain foreign to him: the worlds of New York jazz and Norwegian folk music.

As Little Steven gets ready to embark on his North American Summer Of Sorcery tour in support of the recently released new album, the ever-prolific Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer is excited to share two more songs from his forthcoming score for 'Lilyhammer,' Netflix's first-ever series that actormusician Steven Van Zandt starred in, co-wrote and co-produced from 2012-2014. The swinging jazz tune, 'Lilyhammer Nocturne (Theme From Lilyhammer),' and the bluesy rocker 'Espresso Martini,' showcase the diversity and eclecticism found on the two corresponding volumes of the 'Lilyhammer' score which will be released for the first time on July 12 via Wicked CoolUMe as two separate albums: Volume 1: Jazz and Volume 2: Folk, Rock, Rio, Bits And Pieces.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association today announced a new exhibition at the Hollywood Bowl Museum, Tapes Rolling: David Swedlow Records the Hollywood Bowl, 1954-1959. Launching June 15 in conjunction with the opening of the 2019 summer season and the continuing Centennial celebrations of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the exhibit showcases recordings of the orchestra made by David Swedlow. It will be on view through the spring of 2020.

Roberta Linn To Perform In Palm Desert

One of the desert's favorite performers, Roberta Linn, will perform a special cabaret concert on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Jolsyn Center in Palm Desert. The show will feature many of her signature songs along with insider stories about her life, career, and close friendships with some of the biggest names in show business. Joining Roberta will be a trio led by Kevin Tokarz on piano, with Danny Flahive on Bass, and Gary Whiteside on drums. The show will kick off the 11th season of Les Michaels' Cabaret On Sundays Series that will run through September 29th. Tickets for this one show only performance will be sold at the door for $15 cash only at the Arthur Newman Theatre's box office that opens at 1 PM and located in the Joslyn Center at 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert.
